The winter holidays are upon us, and now is the perfect time to get baking! Snuggle up with a cookie or make some to pass out to neighbors here at the Mansions of Wylie or other loved ones in and out of Wylie, TX. We’re definitely not one to step over tried-and-true cookie recipe favorites, but we’re also here to switch things up a bit and give you some new recipes to try.

Chocolate Chip Snowball Cookies from Crazy for Crust

This recipe is a tasty twist on traditional tea cake cookies. Coated in powdered sugar, these cookies look like mini snowballs, except with chocolate chips added in. Ingredients include unsalted butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, flour, salt, and mini chocolate chips.

Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies from Cooking Classy

Is there anything more perfect for this time of year than red velvet? Well, you could probably think of a couple things — and we came up with red velvet cookies. Tasty and beautiful, they’ll be gone from your cookie plate before you know it.

Santa’s Trash Cookies from Key Ingredients

An eclectic blend of ingredients form a sweet and salty cookie. Ingredients include unsalted butter, sugar, brown sugar, egg, vanilla, flour, baking powder, salt, potato chips, pretzels, semisweet chocolate chips, red and green sprinkles, and flaky sea salt. Despite the name, we think they’re anything but trash!

Oreo Coal Cookies from Delish

These no-baking-required cookies look just like a lump of coal, but thankfully you actually get to eat them. They’re incredibly tasty and only require cream cheese, semisweet or melting chocolate, and crushed Oreo cookies. Chocolate lovers will fawn over this treat.
